Project WWWT Day 47( part II) of 72 - Salzburg, Austria

3rd July 2017

Today has been an eventful day. Right after our Konigsee/Berchtesgaden excursion, the Summer day is still young so we headed to the one place that everyone had to visit to get a photograph in Salzburg - Mirabell Palace/Garden. Yeah, we had visited this place on the very first day of our arrival to Salzburg, but the urge to have a photo momento of this place is too overwhelming, especially during a beautiful day like today (its a yours truly habit).

Right after the beautiful garden and reminiscence of The Sound of Music movie which is constantly being played in our TV channel, we headed back to our hotel and call for take-away dinner from Tokyo Bay (I utilise Liefer Service). We orderd some sushi and fried rice. It was truly heartwarming to speak to the person handling my order from Tokyo Bay because she also was a Malaysian and we spoke a bit and told her that I would like to have Fried Rice the Malaysian way. The take-away food was reasonably authentic and suited to my appetite and suffice to say, I highly recommend this place if you ever wanted to have a slow and hassle free dinner in Salzburg at the comfort of your hotel room.

After we are done with our dinner, we sort of itching for desserts and the missus proposes for the both of us to head out for a "pak tor" (dating) stroll and to look for dessert. I told the missus that I would like to stroll towards the Salzach River as I would like to take an evening shot of the River and the Hohensalzburg in the background. She readily obliged and is very supportive of my need to take photo momento of the places we visit.

One our way back, we scouted along Linzer Grasse for a dessert shop that is still open. We are in luck as we managed to catch a shop that sells ice-cream, cakes and pastries which is just about to close. We bought ice-creams for the boys, cakes and apple struddle to bring back to the hotel to savour. There were other patrons who came after us wanting to buy the cake but the shop-owner just told them that the shop is closed. Period. Thank God we reached just one minute earlier otherwise we would have gone back to our Hotel and dreamt of desserts that night.
