Imperial Treasure Noodle & Congee House

IMPERIAL TREASURE NOODLE AND CONGEE HOUSE
@ B3-17 ION Orchard

A shot of Singapore Post Building while waiting at the bus stop.

DK is a dear sister that we got to know at the church my wife and I (Now the whole household) attends. The bonding betwen us and this sister grew stronger over the years and it was truly sad to see her going to the States (She studies there). She would come back once in a while and stayed for a week or two and this time round a month+. So they say that happy times pass by in a flick of an eye, its about time she will have to return to the US so we decided to bring her out for dinner. We asked her to pick the place and she has chosen Imperial Treasure Noodle & Congee House at the newly opened ION Orchard. This place is the "Thing"of Ochard as it is a huge shopping mall (CK Tangs..ahem... step aside please~).

Crystal Jade LMXLB

Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao @ Holland Village

I have heard of this place from my colleague TLM and according to him they have a promotion (I believe it is an ongoing thing) for their steamboat buffet at S$19.80++ which also included free-flow of xiao long bao (XLB)! So if you are a sucker for these soup dumplings, this is the place for you. The branch in Jurong IMM has similar promotion with the exception of Pekingese Duck instead of the XLB and heard the price is cheaper too! Drinks are free-flow too. The free-flow beverage options are home-cooked barley, chinese tea and some other gassy drinks.

We ordered the Pork Bone+Corn
& Ma La (Szechuan hot soup) soup base

Grooming

Its been long since the last post about Bon Bon as the going is pretty much the same. This time round however, there is something new. I have been reading a bit on Pomeranians lately and chanced upon a pretty interesting site at http://www.pomkins.com/index.html regarding the Pomkins. It has a guide on personal dog grooming so I tried on Bon Bon :p. Hopefully his coat becomes thicker so that the next time I tried grooming on him, it will looked fuller.

Wanna upload two photos of Bon Bon but don't know why my "Post" page's attach-photo function is gone. Anyone can help me with this?? Otherwise, this post will forever b without the intended photos.

At last, I could upload some photos, and here goes. :D

National Day Dinner Performance

Well, once in a while, the town council here in Serangoon would invite me to perform for some of their event and this time round, it is for the Singapore National Day!!! This event is truly huuuuuge as it is going to be attended by 2,000+ people from the Serangoon community and the ministers! Ms Lim Hwee Hwa was recently promoted to be a minister in the Prime Minister office so this event has grow from a medium size event to a huge event and yours truly would have to sing to all these people. It was truly scary and I was stressed throughout the week prior to this event. The organiser has requested for some tough songs and I am not so confident that I can make it but nevertheless, I told her that I will try and see what I can do.

The two songs she has requested are "朋友" (Friends) by 谭咏麟 (Alan Tham) and "祝福" (Blessings) by 张学友 (Jacky Cheung). Anyway, in the end, the songs grow to include additional two free choice english songs. I choose Boyzone's "No Matter What" and was thinking of taking the challenge of "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor. To cut the story short, I only did two songs i.e. "No Matter What" and "朋友" (Friends) by 谭咏麟 (Alan Tham). Supposed to also sing "祝福" (Blessings) by 张学友 (Jacky Cheung) but due to time constraint, was cut short.

Included in this posting is a few video of my singing. Hope you .. err...enjoy.
