Hong Kong in 6 Days (Day 5)

Day 05

We planned to a little further today. Our plan is Stanley! It is on the southern part of Hong Kong island and is famous for being the place where rich people stay and ironically the prison. To go to Stanley, you will have to take the mini bus from Causeway Bay.

Before we head to Stanley, we had breakfast in Wan Chai again as it is within walking distance from our lodging in JW Marriott. We had breakfast at a local eatery that was frequented by many white collar worker and the wisdom is, eat where the local eat and you will get good food at good price. This eatery is located 3 shops to the right from the Crocodile Outlet Stall as shown in the map below.

The Graceful Chow Chow named Grace

We have a guest in the house! My sister's boss has gone on a vacation together with their whole family and left Grace with us. Grace is a one year old Chow Chow and as her name suggests, she is graceful. Quiet, poised, gentle and graceful :).

Hong Kong in 6 Days (Day 04)

Day 4

Day 4 is a more adventurous day as we are more daring to try out other areas that are not so touristy that way, savouring the local culture of the country state. We had intended to travel from one MTR to another since we bought the 3-days unlimited octopus card. We traveled from Prince all the way down to Kowloon for the light show in the evening and ended it off with a ride on the ferry across the Hong Kong straits.

The gem lying in the dust... Apliu Street

Hong Kong in 6 Days (Day 3)

Day 3

Today is the day whereby my wife and I will take a trip down to our childhood memories and where else would it be if its not Disneyland Hong Kong? During my childhood days, Mickey mouse and gang is the best thing that could happen on TV and my brother would record the cartoon down on our then sophisticated VCR to watch. Watch we did! In fact for so many times that we could memorize the dialogue/lines from the start through till the end and perhaps that was one of the ways that my siblings and I learnt our English.

Our morning breakfast spread consists of (Clock wise from 12 o'clock position)
Chicken porridge, stocking tea, hotdogs + toast + eggs, French toasts, Rice dumpling in soy sauce

Hong Kong in 6 Days (Day 1 - 2)

Day 1 and 2

Come the end of this year, both my wife and I have planned for a vacation to Europe. Well, someone once asked where's the rest of my Hong Kong honeymoon posting which happens like one year ago, so before I go for my Europe trip, here's something that happened last December.

1,000 readership mark!

At long last, reached the 1,000 readership mark! Kinda slow but rather gratifying. Hopefully the 1,000 readings has been helpful in someway to the readers or at the very least, entertaining.

It has been a busy period lately due to work as the 3rd quarter of the year came to an end and marking the BUDGET period! It is going to be tough job ahead as I have to perform some tests on the system software in anticipation of a restructuring. Thank God though that there will be a gathering this coming saturday, so I am truly looking forward to a time to relax and to build greater bonding with my wife and Bon Bon.

Bon Bon: Bubble, the time has come for us to meet at last~! <3

Phuket Island in 3 Days (Day 3)

Day 3
I know I know, it has been like eons ago, but yet this information may be useful for someone else reading this post.

We have planned for a white water rafting trip on this day and Jeff has opted out of this program together with Jayne, which is a good thing since Jeff is down with a fever and Jayne could take care of him. My wife stated that Jeff truly made good use of the accommodation amount he paid since he is in the apartment most of the time HAHA! Anyway, we have earlier booked the white water rafting at Bangla road on day 2 and the cost is the same at THB1,200 per pax excluding the transport but include lunch at the base camp.

Seafood Paradise

SEAFOOD PARADISE RESTAURANT @ SINGAPORE FLYER 2009

When I was in Hong Kong last December 2008, both H and K brought my wife and I to the best roast goose restaurant in Hong Kong at my request and the meal was truly a delight! No one does Roast Goose the way the restaurant did~ crisp yet juicy, golden brown and fragrant (Not mentioning that it is very affordable too)! That alone has teased me numerous times to head back to Hong Kong just for this dish. Using the photo of the roast goose’s drumstick on my desktop certainly doesn’t help curb that urge and who’s fault is it? Nevertheless, can you blame me for that?

Highly recommended! It is located at

Gem Island: Paradise in Malaysia

GEM ISLAND, TERENGGANU 26-28 SEPTEMBER 2009

Gem Island or Gemia Island is situated in Terengganu, a state on the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia and is beside the better-known sister, Kapas Island. The island is designated as marine conservation park and there is only one resort on the island itself. Doesn’t it make you wonder the oxymoronic idea of a resort on a marine conservation park? Beats me!
